This is truly a great piece of sex education for any one. During the commentary you can switch between him/her or a third person view which allows you to see from different views what is happening during sexual intercourse. Don't look at this as a dirty porn film because it is not that at all. It is purely for educational use and is filmed in a very professional and respectful way. The extras are good such as how the guide was made and the troubles the crew had to go through in making it, as well as a few quizzes that try to profile you and then tells you to watch certain chapters to work on your love making skills.
This is a great extra if you have any of the Lovers guide dvd's or just an intro to the dvd collection. If you have enjoyed any of the 'A girls guide to 21st century sex' episodes, then you will enjoy this.

As a virgin (ahem) to The Lovers' Guide, I had no idea what to expect, except that the series is intended to be more of an educational tool than sex scenes to arouse.
This new release is different to those that have gone before because it's an Interactive DVD, meaning you can pick and choose which sections you want to watch, and in which order.
The DVD is broken down into several sections; Making Sex Better, Overcoming Problems, Facts & Information, Sex Quiz and Intercourse in 3D. Many of these sections are then broken down further, so if necessary, you can just watch which sections are relevant to you. Basically, though, this DVD is aimed at heterosexual couples. I can't see there being much relevance for single or gay people.
It's a great educational tool, though. If you're inexperienced with sex in relationships, or sex in general, then there is a great deal of information here that you will find incredibly valuable. However, if you are experienced in the bedroom, then it's likely to have you rolling your eyes and saying "Yeah, yeah!"
There's a total abundance of information covering everything sex-related, right from masturbation through oral sex and intercourse. There's even a fascinating section which shows what sex looks like from the inside - using the same machines used giving pregnant women scans! The quiz is great fun to test you, particularly if you think you're a bit of a know it all! You may find you're not, after all.
In summary, I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who's after porn, you're barking completely up the wrong tree. There are naked people doing naughty things, but there's voiceover etc, and it's not erotic, simply educational. This is ideal for a new couple looking to explore all aspects of their sex life, and I think it could be particularly useful for men who don't want to read books. This dvd is mind blowing, watched it when my girl friend was at work and couldnt waite to show her the positions and try it out for myself!!

Although do agree with one of the other reviews that it good of spent more time on some of the positions as they are truly mind blowing, do both ya selves a favour and get it!!

We have watched most of the LG series now and they are certainly better than the US offerings most of the time. The unconvincing commentary is still there for censorship reasons and you can feel the weight of the censor constantly snipping at the potentially erotic content. However, this is a comparatively brave attempt and it was interesting to see anal sex portrayed as just another 'advanced' technique as part of both foreplay and the big event. For men too. The problem is that there isn't enough time given to explaining the details and the video feels like a series of trailers for a more detailed study. Too much is packed into the time available and too much is edited out. Why not see penetration for each position? They all look so effortless when only a few seconds are shown, but in reality it takes time to get into the reverse-lotus-anal-cowgirl position or whatever it is. And you probably can't have an orgasm using many of the positions. If we are wrong - prove it and show us!
Maybe we are too critical, as this does feel like a small step forward and at least we don't get hours of relationship advice thrown in this time. We're quite happily married, thanks. All we need is some explicit (i.e. informative) sex tips. This comes close, but still leaves many questions unanswered. We don't think we'll be pushing that back door open just yet.

A not bad DVD, however personally i found some of the commentary rather cringing, mainly the comments from supposed real life couples. On the whole a modern and interesting DVD, my other half seemed to like it anyway!

I don't know what many of the other reviewers are used to watching but I found this DVD clinical beyond belief. There is no atmosphere, no conversation with the couples as to what things felt like etc so no feedback. Just a barrage of positions run through in a very matter of fact way. In the extras it is even clear the "actors" are simply assuming a pose and not actually making love at all. Some people have written this DVD turned them on - blimey, if it does it for you then you and your partner are easily pleased.
On a positive note, it did suggest a few interesting positions, which I suppose is what it says on the tin, however previous reviews had led me to believe it was also erotic and something fun to watch with your other half to spice things up - no way, wish I could find something with real people trying stuff out for real, and talking about it afterwards, now that would be good.

Everyone should watch a little porn at some time in there life and if you have bought this set you will have a lot of porn to watch. There are 5 DVDS in this set with 3 or 4 full lengh porn films on each. There are some stunning women, hunky men and great scenes in these varied films, most films are very good quality and very arousing. I would probably give this a 4.5 out of 5 and would recommend it as a good purchase.

Everyone should watch a little porn at some time in there life and if you have bought this set you will have a lot of porn to watch. There are 5 DVDS in this set with 3 or 4 full lengh porn films on each. There are some stunning women, hunky men and great scenes in these varied films, most films are very good quality and very arousing. I would probably give this a 4.5 out of 5 and would recommend it as a good purchase.

This is truly a great piece of sex education for any one. During the commentary you can switch between him/her or a third person view which allows you to see from different views what is happening during sexual intercourse. Don't look at this as a dirty porn film because it is not that at all. It is purely for educational use and is filmed in a very professional and respectful way. The extras are good such as how the guide was made and the troubles the crew had to go through in making it, as well as a few quizzes that try to profile you and then tells you to watch certain chapters to work on your love making skills.
This is a great extra if you have any of the Lovers guide dvd's or just an intro to the dvd collection. If you have enjoyed any of the 'A girls guide to 21st century sex' episodes, then you will enjoy this.
You and your partner wil not be disappointed.

As a virgin (ahem) to The Lovers' Guide, I had no idea what to expect, except that the series is intended to be more of an educational tool than sex scenes to arouse.
This new release is different to those that have gone before because it's an Interactive DVD, meaning you can pick and choose which sections you want to watch, and in which order.
The DVD is broken down into several sections; Making Sex Better, Overcoming Problems, Facts & Information, Sex Quiz and Intercourse in 3D. Many of these sections are then broken down further, so if necessary, you can just watch which sections are relevant to you. Basically, though, this DVD is aimed at heterosexual couples. I can't see there being much relevance for single or gay people.
It's a great educational tool, though. If you're inexperienced with sex in relationships, or sex in general, then there is a great deal of information here that you will find incredibly valuable. However, if you are experienced in the bedroom, then it's likely to have you rolling your eyes and saying "Yeah, yeah!"
There's a total abundance of information covering everything sex-related, right from masturbation through oral sex and intercourse. There's even a fascinating section which shows what sex looks like from the inside - using the same machines used giving pregnant women scans! The quiz is great fun to test you, particularly if you think you're a bit of a know it all! You may find you're not, after all.
In summary, I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who's after porn, you're barking completely up the wrong tree. There are naked people doing naughty things, but there's voiceover etc, and it's not erotic, simply educational. This is ideal for a new couple looking to explore all aspects of their sex life, and I think it could be particularly useful for men who don't want to read books. The quiz is an excellent way of testing if they've been paying attention, too! A couple of downsides were the inconsistency in sound volume, meaning I was constantly messing around with the remote control, and some video clips had poor recording quality.

Although do agree with one of the other reviews that it good of spent more time on some of the positions as they are truly mind blowing, do both ya selves a favour and get it!!

We have watched most of the LG series now and they are certainly better than the US offerings most of the time. The unconvincing commentary is still there for censorship reasons and you can feel the weight of the censor constantly snipping at the potentially erotic content. However, this is a comparatively brave attempt and it was interesting to see anal sex portrayed as just another 'advanced' technique as part of both foreplay and the big event. For men too. The problem is that there isn't enough time given to explaining the details and the video feels like a series of trailers for a more detailed study. Too much is packed into the time available and too much is edited out. Why not see penetration for each position? They all look so effortless when only a few seconds are shown, but in reality it takes time to get into the reverse-lotus-anal-cowgirl position or whatever it is. And you probably can't have an orgasm using many of the positions. If we are wrong - prove it and show us!
Maybe we are too critical, as this does feel like a small step forward and at least we don't get hours of relationship advice thrown in this time. We're quite happily married, thanks. All we need is some explicit (i.e. informative) sex tips. This comes close, but still leaves many questions unanswered. We don't think we'll be pushing that back door open just yet.

A not bad DVD, however personally i found some of the commentary rather cringing, mainly the comments from supposed real life couples. On the whole a modern and interesting DVD, my other half seemed to like it anyway!

I don't know what many of the other reviewers are used to watching but I found this DVD clinical beyond belief. There is no atmosphere, no conversation with the couples as to what things felt like etc so no feedback. Just a barrage of positions run through in a very matter of fact way. In the extras it is even clear the "actors" are simply assuming a pose and not actually making love at all. Some people have written this DVD turned them on - blimey, if it does it for you then you and your partner are easily pleased.
On a positive note, it did suggest a few interesting positions, which I suppose is what it says on the tin, however previous reviews had led me to believe it was also erotic and something fun to watch with your other half to spice things up - no way, wish I could find something with real people trying stuff out for real, and talking about it afterwards, now that would be good.

Everyone should watch a little porn at some time in there life and if you have bought this set you will have a lot of porn to watch. There are 5 DVDS in this set with 3 or 4 full lengh porn films on each. There are some stunning women, hunky men and great scenes in these varied films, most films are very good quality and very arousing. I would probably give this a 4.5 out of 5 and would recommend it as a good purchase.

The only way to watch this is with the sound turned down. The soundtrack is muffled and poorly dubbed. The storyline would bore a five year old and the girls voices had the sex appeal of Andy Pandy. Quite the most tedious film I have ever watched half of.

I watched most of it with the volume turned down quite low in a locked room, and fast forwarded through the boring bits and rewound the good bits. You know the score.

Standard Tinto Brass fare. No real storyline, dubbed English even though this time the film is set in London.
The film is hysterically funny and Tinto pays homage to some of the more famous 'hot' scenes from fifties and early sixties Hollywood films.
For soft core fans Tinto proves he is still the master with attractive leads, plenty of full frontal nudity and good lighting.
For fans of Tinto's work you will notice the standard fare of his fascination with the female behind and all his signature scenes are in place.

Forget about "New Queer Cinema" - this is just a damn good movie about a that most human of emotions - the longing to belong. "Only connect" and all that. The fact that the protagonists are gay makes it that much more accessible to anyone who is gay, but it's so much bigger and better than that.

The writing is shocking, very poor and self-gratifying. It has pretentions of high-brow art but falls at the first fence. It is more like a drawn out mid 90's tv series but for the gay narrative. Could be described as a film version of a pale shadow of Queer as Folk. The relationships of the characters although offering promise are not probed adequately and consequently you never really feel any warmth to any to the characters. The directing is corntrived and pace of the characters, their thoughts and the narration is painfully slow and out of step with reality. The protagonist infuriatingly plods around the film, occasionally rattles off quotes of text but his apartment offers nothing to suggest his education.

Delightful and interesting interplay involving three main gay roommates and their terribly soap opera lives.... X - the hooker with a morale compass, Andrew - the beefcake, only now coming to grips with being gay and Joey - young, naive and not innocent in the slightest!
It starts with an odd premise of X trying to figure out how to proceed with the next phase in his life, and being able to share his life with another - but he wants to enter this phase on his own terms, and wants everything to go on his terms. The focus of his attentions are on one of his roommates, Andrew, who is trying to come to gay persona and loosing himself, albeit trying to hold out for X!!! The interplay is effortless, as the acotrs, though not seasoned, more through the wonderful tapestry with great ease.
Not to be outdone is charming Joey - with his speech impediment (see the movie or at least the trailer... it is amusing inside joke)!
Defo worth repeated viewings!!!

Fun film about a male prostitute who learns the valuable lesson about real affection from one of his elderly clients - but not necessarily for the client. A whole bundle of fun to watch with witty and dialogues and voice over and some good performances all round.
Derek Magyar plays the hustler who doesn't believe in love, and isn't interested in sex unless he's being paid for it. He goes by the name of X which signifies his emotional distance to love. X shares his home with two roommates -- Andrew (Darryl Stephens whome he secretely loves and Joey (Jonathon Trent) the teenager who lusts after X. Enter Gregory (Patrick Bauchau) who hires X for companionship only, holding of sex until X is really attracted to him...
Good entertainment; and did the boy get his man? You'll have to watch and see.

The only way to watch this is with the sound turned down. The soundtrack is muffled and poorly dubbed. The storyline would bore a five year old and the girls voices had the sex appeal of Andy Pandy. Quite the most tedious film I have ever watched half of.

A fun and sexy movie. Not hardcore but plenty of nudity and a lovely leading lady. I'm sure that this would be equally appealing to couples. Definitely worth a repeat viewing.

If you like womans arses.. This film is for you. Tinto Brass is a brilliant cinematographer and director. "The king of european erotica" apparently. His talents are put to good use, artfully filming beautiful womans backsides.This film is no exeption. I watched most of it with the volume turned down quite low in a locked room, and fast forwarded through the boring bits and rewound the good bits. You know the score.

This film follow all patterns of Tinto Brass, even if the box did not say he is the director you could easily know it comes from him if you have watched any other of his films.
As usual the film goes around a very pretty girl who spends half of the film naked.
Together with this there is good plot to keep you watching the movie until the end with plenty of funny situations.
In my oppinion the main stregth of the film is the actress, tall,slim,blue eyes,blonde,long legs...

Standard Tinto Brass fare. No real storyline, dubbed English even though this time the film is set in London.
The film is hysterically funny and Tinto pays homage to some of the more famous 'hot' scenes from fifties and early sixties Hollywood films.
For soft core fans Tinto proves he is still the master with attractive leads, plenty of full frontal nudity and good lighting.
For fans of Tinto's work you will notice the standard fare of his fascination with the female behind and all his signature scenes are in place.

Forget about "New Queer Cinema" - this is just a damn good movie about a that most human of emotions - the longing to belong. "Only connect" and all that. The fact that the protagonists are gay makes it that much more accessible to anyone who is gay, but it's so much bigger and better than that.

The writing is shocking, very poor and self-gratifying. It has pretentions of high-brow art but falls at the first fence. It is more like a drawn out mid 90's tv series but for the gay narrative. Could be described as a film version of a pale shadow of Queer as Folk. The relationships of the characters although offering promise are not probed adequately and consequently you never really feel any warmth to any to the characters. The directing is corntrived and pace of the characters, their thoughts and the narration is painfully slow and out of step with reality. The protagonist infuriatingly plods around the film, occasionally rattles off quotes of text but his apartment offers nothing to suggest his education.

Delightful and interesting interplay involving three main gay roommates and their terribly soap opera lives.... X - the hooker with a morale compass, Andrew - the beefcake, only now coming to grips with being gay and Joey - young, naive and not innocent in the slightest!
It starts with an odd premise of X trying to figure out how to proceed with the next phase in his life, and being able to share his life with another - but he wants to enter this phase on his own terms, and wants everything to go on his terms. The focus of his attentions are on one of his roommates, Andrew, who is trying to come to gay persona and loosing himself, albeit trying to hold out for X!!! The interplay is effortless, as the acotrs, though not seasoned, more through the wonderful tapestry with great ease.
Not to be outdone is charming Joey - with his speech impediment (see the movie or at least the trailer... it is amusing inside joke)!
Defo worth repeated viewings!!!

Fun film about a male prostitute who learns the valuable lesson about real affection from one of his elderly clients - but not necessarily for the client. A whole bundle of fun to watch with witty and dialogues and voice over and some good performances all round.
Derek Magyar plays the hustler who doesn't believe in love, and isn't interested in sex unless he's being paid for it. He goes by the name of X which signifies his emotional distance to love. X shares his home with two roommates -- Andrew (Darryl Stephens whome he secretely loves and Joey (Jonathon Trent) the teenager who lusts after X. Enter Gregory (Patrick Bauchau) who hires X for companionship only, holding of sex until X is really attracted to him...
Good entertainment; and did the boy get his man? You'll have to watch and see.

I would imagine Destricted as a loop in an exhibition in an art gallery, with a guard outside on the look-out for under 18s (probably this is what it was, actually.)
This DVD contains seven different art shorts regarding sex/porn. My favourite of these is Matthew Barney's Hoist, which would truly rival Eraserhead in the surreal stakes.
My only criticism of the DVD is that it only mentions the names of the artists, not the names of the films in the menu!
If you're interested in the sexual side of art, buy this. Prepare to be stimulated and disgusted, at the same time, in equal measures, by Destricted.

This movie is a first for me - the first time I've seen a movie totally devoid of merit of any kind (and, boy, have I seen some avant-garde cinematic ordure in my time!) It's a compendium of shorts that are weird, witless and worst of all - given the explicit content - excrutiatingly boring. I've given it one star because Amazon doesn't allow none. If you must, rent the movie but don't say I didn't warn you.

This is truly a great piece of sex education for any one. During the commentary you can switch between him/her or a third person view which allows you to see from different views what is happening during sexual intercourse. Don't look at this as a dirty porn film because it is not that at all. It is purely for educational use and is filmed in a very professional and respectful way. The extras are good such as how the guide was made and the troubles the crew had to go through in making it, as well as a few quizzes that try to profile you and then tells you to watch certain chapters to work on your love making skills.
This is a great extra if you have any of the Lovers guide dvd's or just an intro to the dvd collection. If you have enjoyed any of the 'A girls guide to 21st century sex' episodes, then you will enjoy this.
You and your partner wil not be disappointed.

As a virgin (ahem) to The Lovers' Guide, I had no idea what to expect, except that the series is intended to be more of an educational tool than sex scenes to arouse.
This new release is different to those that have gone before because it's an Interactive DVD, meaning you can pick and choose which sections you want to watch, and in which order.
The DVD is broken down into several sections; Making Sex Better, Overcoming Problems, Facts & Information, Sex Quiz and Intercourse in 3D. Many of these sections are then broken down further, so if necessary, you can just watch which sections are relevant to you. Basically, though, this DVD is aimed at heterosexual couples. I can't see there being much relevance for single or gay people.
It's a great educational tool, though. If you're inexperienced with sex in relationships, or sex in general, then there is a great deal of information here that you will find incredibly valuable. However, if you are experienced in the bedroom, then it's likely to have you rolling your eyes and saying "Yeah, yeah!"
There's a total abundance of information covering everything sex-related, right from masturbation through oral sex and intercourse. There's even a fascinating section which shows what sex looks like from the inside - using the same machines used giving pregnant women scans! The quiz is great fun to test you, particularly if you think you're a bit of a know it all! You may find you're not, after all.
In summary, I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who's after porn, you're barking completely up the wrong tree. There are naked people doing naughty things, but there's voiceover etc, and it's not erotic, simply educational. This is ideal for a new couple looking to explore all aspects of their sex life, and I think it could be particularly useful for men who don't want to read books. The quiz is an excellent way of testing if they've been paying attention, too! A couple of downsides were the inconsistency in sound volume, meaning I was constantly messing around with the remote control, and some video clips had poor recording quality.

We have watched most of the LG series now and they are certainly better than the US offerings most of the time. The unconvincing commentary is still there for censorship reasons and you can feel the weight of the censor constantly snipping at the potentially erotic content. However, this is a comparatively brave attempt and it was interesting to see anal sex portrayed as just another 'advanced' technique as part of both foreplay and the big event. For men too. The problem is that there isn't enough time given to explaining the details and the video feels like a series of trailers for a more detailed study. Too much is packed into the time available and too much is edited out. Why not see penetration for each position? They all look so effortless when only a few seconds are shown, but in reality it takes time to get into the reverse-lotus-anal-cowgirl position or whatever it is. And you probably can't have an orgasm using many of the positions. If we are wrong - prove it and show us!
Maybe we are too critical, as this does feel like a small step forward and at least we don't get hours of relationship advice thrown in this time. We're quite happily married, thanks. All we need is some explicit (i.e. informative) sex tips. This comes close, but still leaves many questions unanswered. We don't think we'll be pushing that back door open just yet.

A not bad DVD, however personally i found some of the commentary rather cringing, mainly the comments from supposed real life couples. On the whole a modern and interesting DVD, my other half seemed to like it anyway!

I don't know what many of the other reviewers are used to watching but I found this DVD clinical beyond belief. There is no atmosphere, no conversation with the couples as to what things felt like etc so no feedback. Just a barrage of positions run through in a very matter of fact way. In the extras it is even clear the "actors" are simply assuming a pose and not actually making love at all. Some people have written this DVD turned them on - blimey, if it does it for you then you and your partner are easily pleased.
On a positive note, it did suggest a few interesting positions, which I suppose is what it says on the tin, however previous reviews had led me to believe it was also erotic and something fun to watch with your other half to spice things up - no way, wish I could find something with real people trying stuff out for real, and talking about it afterwards, now that would be good.

Everyone should watch a little porn at some time in there life and if you have bought this set you will have a lot of porn to watch. There are 5 DVDS in this set with 3 or 4 full lengh porn films on each. There are some stunning women, hunky men and great scenes in these varied films, most films are very good quality and very arousing. I would probably give this a 4.5 out of 5 and would recommend it as a good purchase.
